What is volunteering?
Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity, intended to promote good or improve human quality of life, but people also volunteer for their own skill development, to meet others, to make contacts for possible employment, to have fun, and for a variety of other reasons that could be considered self-serving.
Volunteerism is the act of selflessly giving your life to something you believe, free of pay.

🏅 Recognition for Outstanding Sport Volunteers
Most people volunteer because they want to help make a difference. There are ways we can recognize these dedicated people. In Morden, we have a policy which outlines one program which is called Morden’s Outstanding Sports Volunteer Recognition. The Morden Outstanding Sport Volunteers Wall of Fame was established in 2011 to recognize and honour those individuals that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of sports and/or sports facilities in the City of Morden.
