Additional Funding for Spray Park by Government and Private Business

“The preparation for the project has started, we’ll be getting the building ready for when the equipment arrives,” explains Tim Harsant, Facilities Manager. “The recirculation system will reduce the water use from approximately 30,000 gallons on a hot summer day, to 2000 gallons. That’s a huge saving!”

In the drought situation of last year, we couldn’t operate the spray park because of the large amounts of water it uses. In the current year, with so much rain, we cannot operate it because of the volume of runoff going into our lagoon system. No matter the situation, this is a responsible environmental initiative. The installation of the recirculation system will substantially reduce the water consumption, concurrently, reducing the wastewater demand.”
