POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN SOUTHERN MB - OVERLAND FLOOD WARNING ISSUED

Importance: High

- There is a potential for severe thunderstorms to impact southern Manitoba in the next 48 hours.

- Most areas south of PTH 16 / PTH 1 from Saskatchewan Border to Ontario Boarder could see in the range of 25 mm to 150 mm (6 inch) of high intensity rain in the next 48 hours (see the attached image for areas impacted). Overland Flood Warning expires by Wednesday Noon.

- Overland flooding could occur in localized areas that receive higher amounts of precipitation.

- The Shellmouth basin in Saskatchewan is also predicted to receive 25 to 75 mm (3 inch) of rain in the central and southern portion of the basin. Inflow into the reservoir may rise if the higher end of precipitation is received.
