Hydrant maintenance is important to make sure all fire hydrants are in proper working order. The city is responsible for making sure they are in working condition.
Hydrants maintenance is scheduled to start next week.
During this time, we will be working with the parks department to capture some of the water so it can be used for things like fungicide injection, new tree development, etc.

This water will also be used for sewer main flushing. This is also needed due to the lower amounts of water in our sewer system.
You may encounter the following conditions during hydrant maintenance operations:
A temporary drop in water pressure to your residence or place of business.
Rusty brown, or cloudy water. (These conditions will subside after the flushing is complete.)
