We have lots of construction scheduled in the city, so please take note of them!
STEPHEN STREET CLOSURE
On August 25th, Stephen Street will be closed between 8th Street and Nelson Street from 6 am till about 9 am.
4 & 5 STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT
In the last week of July, Horizon Earthworks will start the water main replacement of the 4th & 5th 400 block. With this replacement, two water tie-ins will take place that will require residents to have their water turned off.
The first shutdown will be on Tuesday, July 27th, and it will affect six houses and a church. The next tie-in will be on Thursday, July 29th. This one will affect the same six houses and the church plus eleven more houses and part of the school.
During this construction, Gilmour Street will also be closed from 5th Street to 4th Street.
Local traffic will still have access to their driveways.
PARKHILL DR WEST REPAIR
The City of Morden will be repairing a section of Parkhill Dr west of Mountain St.
Construction is scheduled to begin July 21, 2021, and tentatively be finished by August 15, 2021, weather permitting.
Parkhill Dr will be down to one lane to westbound traffic only for the duration of construction with a few short-term closures due to the nature of concrete works. Please use Manchester St or Rd 14N access for exiting the area.

4th STREET 200BLK SIDEWALK RECONSTRUCTION
The City of Morden will be reconstructing the sidewalk on the east side of 4th street from Thornhill St to Wardrop St.
One lane access will be maintained for local traffic at all times during construction.
Construction is scheduled to begin July 12, 2021, and tentatively be finished by August 15, 2021, weather permitting.
WARDROP ROAD CLOSURE
There will be a road closure for a week from July 12 to July 19.
The City of Morden will be fixing the sidewalk and curbs on the north side of Wardrop (school entrance) and possibly the swale on the south side of Wardrop at 4th st.

9TH ST 100BLK ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
The City of Morden will be reconstructing 9th street from Stephen St to Thornhill St.
9th St will be closed to any traffic for the duration of the construction period. Use Stephen St Backlane for local traffic access.
Construction is scheduled to begin July 12, 2021, and tentatively be finished by August 31, 2021, weather permitting.
BUHLER DR ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
The City of Morden will be reconstructing Buhler Dr from Fairway Dr to Highway #3.
Buhler Rd will be closed to any traffic for the duration of the construction period. Please use Colert Rd to access Fairway Dr, Country Club Lane and Meadowbrook Dr at all times.
Construction is scheduled to begin July 12, 2021, and tentatively be finished by August 31, 2021, weather permitting.
Access to the golf course will be available with no interruptions through Fairway Dr or Meadowbrook Dr. Please follow the signs, stay a safe distance from the working area and be vigilant for moving vehicles and equipment.
The City's noise by-law limits construction work hours to between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sundays; we do not expect to be working outside of these hours.
