The City of Morden is very excited to announce that Valley Fiber will be bringing fiber internet to Morden! In partnership with the city, Valley Fiber will be brining fast, dedicated, and secure fiber lines to the households and businesses in Morden with most people being connected by the end of this year and the remainder being connected in early 2021. Given the significant challenges and unforeseen changes this year, the timeline does take supply chain issues into account, and the primary cause of any potential delays would be an early winter.
By partnering with a local company, the City of Morden will be able to keep those funds local, as a significant number of employees and subcontractors that help Valley Fiber do their work call Morden home at the end of the day. A project like this involves a lot of digging and construction, and during this challenging time Morden is excited to be able to create some local job opportunities for our citizens, as well as some significantly needed work for our construction industry.
