MORDEN, MB - Today, June 27, 2023, the City of Morden will install two new stop signs to improve safety at two key intersections.
The intersection of 9th St. and Stephen St. will receive two new stop signs, which will be added on Stephen St. to facilitate a 4-way stop. Additionally, the intersection of La Verendrye Blvd and Loren Drive will receive one new stop sign to facilitate a 3-way stop.
These new signs were approved unanimously by the council after a thorough safety review found that they would benefit from the added stop signs for the safety of all traffic and pedestrians who use these intersections.
"We are committed to the safety of our residents and visitors," said Morden Police Chief Brad Neduzak, "We believe that these new stop signs will help reduce accidents and improve traffic flow at these critical intersections."
The City of Morden hopes that these new additions will reduce the number of incidents and minimize the risks for everyone on the road.
