Usually on July 1st the City of Morden has all sorts of exciting events, performers, music, and fireworks! However, because of COVID-19 we cannot safely gather everyone at the beach and have had to cancel the event in accordance with the current provincial recommendations for events in Manitoba.
The beach will still be open but there won’t be any events, music, or fireworks on July 1st this year. Our team is looking into doing something this fall to make up for it if restrictions have lifted by then. Stay safe this Canada Day, and remember if you’re enjoying one of our beautiful parks or our sandy beach this week please respect social distancing guidelines.
